Faith-Operated Buses
Our college bus service transports approximately 400 students safely and reliably to and from school each day.
Our Bus Network
Our bus network covers a broad area, spanning Western Ipswich (Brassall, Karalee, Karana Downs), the Lockyer Valley, up to Esk, and further west to townships including Gatton and Grantham.
Bus routes are revised each year to ensure that each student (including new enrolments) that needs to catch a bus to school is able to access a bus service.
Applying to Catch A Bus
Students intending to catch a Faith-operated bus to school need to complete a Bus Usage Application form and return it to the Faith Lutheran College office, before they can commence travel.
The form can be downloaed via the link below:
Bus Usage Fees
Students using Faith Bus Services are charged a bus fee by the College.
These fees are in addition to any other fees that are paid to the College as part of a student’s enrolment, and are charged on a per student basis, with a significant discount for families with multiple students using the bus service.

BUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – ROLLCALL
Faith Bus Management System – RollCall
RollCall is the Bus Management System used at Faith Lutheran College. The College’s duty of care for our students is an important issue that we take very seriously. RollCall enables the school and parents/carers real-time visability of students travelling on our buses.
Parent Portal
The RollCall Parent Portal allows you to manage several aspects of your children’s bus travel:
- Advise the bus driver of your child’s absence.
- View live mapping of the school bus, only when the bus is logged on.
- Set app notifications of your children’s movements on and off the bus (eg. arrived at bus stop).
- Change your child’s bus or stop. You can make changes 10 days ahead of the current date. This can be a one-off change or if your child/ren travel on different buses on different days. (You will not be able to book on a bus that is at capacity.)
- Set up and manage student secondary carers access to the App.
To access further information regarding the RollCall Parent Portal please follow the link.
OTHER BUS SERVICES
Non-Faith Bus Services
In addition to our own bus fleet, Faith Lutheran College is serviced by a number of local independent bus operators.
These services operate under contract from the Queensland Department of Transport, and have separate fees and charges for the usage of their services.
Zischke Bus Services
Zischke Bus Services collect students from the Hatton Vale/Regency Downs/Glenore Grove and surrounding areas. These buses drop our students off at our school (from about 8:15am) on the way to Laidley. The reverse happens in the afternoon with our students being picked up (at about 3:15pm).
There is one service, which operates along Forest Hill – Fernvale Road goes into Laidley first and drops off our students on the way out of Laidley with the reverse happening after school. These students will arrive at about 8:25am and will need to leave the school at 2:55pm. To find out more information, or to book your child on one of these services please phone 5465 6519
Laidley Bus Service
Laidley Bus Service collects students from the Laidley township and takes these and the students arriving from the Grandchester, Mulgowie, (both services operated by Laidley Bus Services) and Blenheim (operated by Gatton Buses) out to Plainland arriving by 8:33am. These students are picked up in the afternoon at 2:55pm. The changeover occurs at the Laidley District State School. To find out more information, or to book your child on one of these services please phone 5465 1797.
Students living within 4.8km of this College or the nearest State High School will need to pay the bus operators a transport fee, which is determined by Queensland Transport.
