Faith Lutheran College is currently seeking to appoint a Director of Teaching and Learning.
A key senior leadership position, this role is intentionally strategic and designed to have oversight and leadership of all activities relating to teaching and learning in the College.
Reporting to the Principal, working collaboratively with Senior Leadership, and leading a team of multi-disciplinary specialists, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role as we continue our trajectory of change and innovation; — a trajectory that will see Faith Lutheran College emerge as a leader in contemporary education, and succeed in pioneering a new way of learning.

The Director of Teaching and Learning sits within the Senior Leadership Team of Faith Lutheran College, comprised of both the College Executive and Directors who all report directly to the College Principal.
Leading a team of middle leaders and educational specialists, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving educational change in the College to support the realisation of our vision, mission and strategic direction.
Operating within an environment that encourages innovation, positive risk-taking, big ideas and lofty future aspirations, the successful candidate will have licence to lead and guide our future direction as a teaching and learning community, with an emphasis on student agency, the development of twenty-first century skills and overall student outcomes.
We believe that our students deserve an education that provides choice, empowers student voice, and promotes creativity, curiosity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication and leadership. As a result, we value rich, deep and empathetic learning through project-based learning, design thinking and entrepreneurship. Our Director of Teaching & Learning must therefore be able to lead this space with clarity and confidence, and be inspired to drive change that allow our students to experience the fulfilment of this vision.
