Acknowledging the work and contribution of educators across the globe, World Teachers Day provides an opportunity for students, both past and present, to reflect on the many ways in which our teachers equip, empower and encourage us toward ‘Bright Futures’.
Celebrated with a special school assembly and Chapel message, World Teachers Day holds a special place on the calendar at Faith Lutheran College, with staff and students encouraged to appreciate the long-lasting effects that educators have on lives, career paths, and, ultimately futures through their daily classroom practice.
This year’s theme, ‘Bright Futures’, seemed especially fitting for our Senior students, as they prepare to put their time at Faith, along with two quite tumultuous years of pandemic-influenced study behind them and step out confidently into the next stage of life and learning.
Taking an opportunity to capture some of the thoughts and feelings expressed by our students, incoming College Captains, Isabella Molinaro and Indigo Greenhill-Watts shared a very special video compilation, which highlighted the respect and meaningful relationships our students enjoy with the staff at Faith Lutheran College.
Staff members were also treated to a cooked breakfast, courtesy of the College’s Senior Leadership Team, and received many additional messages of appreciation from students in Learning Coach and House groups throughout the day.
On behalf of our entire College Community, Faith Lutheran College would like to thank all our staff for the effort, commitment and passion they bring into our classrooms each and every day – and for the positive and lifelong impact they have on the next generation. Faith Lutheran College is privileged to have you as part of our team!
