Advice for parents, students and staff of some changes to parking and traffic management being implemented in order to help mitigate dust and noise around the Faith Lutheran College campus.

Faith Lutheran College wishes to advise parents, students and staff of some changes to parking and traffic management being implemented in order to help mitigate dust and noise around the campus.

As of Wednesday 28 April 2021, the dirt road to the left as you enter the College gates from Faith Avenue, which heads up the hill towards the courts, will now be restricted to use by staff and contractors, and will only be made available for use by the general public (i.e parents, students and visitors) for special events. This decision has come about through a need to minimise the impact of noise and dust on the eastern side of the college, as a courtesy to our neighbours.

Parents and regular visitors to the College as asked to please note the above change, and are advised that parking for sport (training and games) is available in the sealed carpark to the east of the Sports Centre, and on the dirt area to the west of the Sports Centre.

A map of these areas is available here.

Students being collected from sport or other on-campus activities will need to walk down to these designated parking areas to meet parents at the conclusion of games or training.

These areas are well-supported for foot traffic, with pedestrian crossings allowing students to cross the road safely in order to reach both parking areas. Motorists and students are kindly asked to continue to observe these crossings and their usage, to ensure all are able to move around the campus safely.

As our College, and our community, continues to grow, the College will continue to invest in infrastructure, with improvements to the gravel carpark next to the Stop and Go Zone, and another sealed car park currently being planned. It is hoped that these improvements will be completed by the end of 2021.

Faith Lutheran College wishes to thank the members of our community for their understanding and cooperation with these changes, as we all work together to keep our students safe and show respect toward our College neighbours.
